St. Lucie County Celebrates Public Service Recognition Week with Tours of Key Facilities  

 

  1. LUCIE COUNTY – In celebration of Public Service Recognition Week, St. Lucie County will host several tours at key facilities to provide our residents with a better understanding of county operations.

Public Service Recognition Week has been celebrated the first week of May since 1985 to honor the people who serve our nation as federal, state, county, local and tribal government employees. St. Lucie County residents are encouraged to sign up for one or more tours to learn more about county operations.

Public Service Recognition Week Tours will be held:

  • Monday, May 2 at the St. Lucie County Landfill & Recycling Center, 6120 Glades Cutoff Road in Fort Pierce at 9 a.m. noon and 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 3 at Clover Park, 31 Piazza Drive in Port St. Lucie at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 4 at the Douglas M. Anderson Emergency Operation Center, 15305 W. Midway Road in Fort Pierce at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 5 at the Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce (Community Services Open House) from 9 to 11:30 a.m. (drop-in event).
  • Self-Guided Tours or Nature Preserves at various locations –www.stluciepreserves.com.
