Welcome to Tequesta!
Tequesta is a village in northern Palm Beach County. It was named after the Tequesta Indians.
Most of the village is located on the mainland but parts of the village are on Jupiter Island in Martin County.
The Tequesta or Tekesta Indians lived in present-day southern Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. They were second in power and prominence among the small tribes of Florida’s southeast coast.
