PSLPD Officers arrest 3 drivers for DUIs

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)-The Port St. Lucie Police have reported that they arrested 3 drivers for DUIs.

Here is what they said:

While you were sleeping…..PSLPD Officers arrested 3 drivers for DUI #DriveSober

Beginning at 11:30pm last night, Officers pulled over a black Honda for speeding on Port St. Lucie Blvd. The vehicle was doing 73 MPH in a 45MPH zone. Officers arrested a 21-year old man for driving under the influence and it was discovered his driver’s license had been suspended since 2021.

At 12:30am in the morning, while on routine patrol of the City, Officers came across a red BMW sitting at the intersection of Port St. Lucie Blvd/Darwin Blvd. The driver sat through a cycle of green lights with their foot on the brake. Officers found a woman asleep at the wheel and had to knock on the window several times to wake her up. Officers arrested the 43-year-old driver for driving under the influence.

Lastly, at 1:28am this morning, Officers responded to the 1100-BLK of SE Mitchell Ave in reference to a motor vehicle crash. A 35-year-old woman drove off the roadway and hit a tree, trash can, and then struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. Officers arrested the woman for driving the under influence.

Thank you so PSLPD much for your dedication. A few months ago my friends sons life was severely alternated by a drunk driver on the Roosevelt Bridge in Stuart. Among his injuries his hands were degloved. you can look that up. it’s pretty awful. In two minutes his life was changed forever. This is just one stories in millions of stories of how one selfish self centered person gets behind the wheel of a car. I have my own story of a drunk driver slamming into the back of my car leaving me with a lifetime of back issues. He fled the scene but because i called 911 and had his voice they gave him weekend jail and he had to pay me my 500 dollar deductible. He literally pulled up on the sidewalk drunk as a skunk. It’s very easy! Don’t drive drunk!
