Large street gathering in Indiantown turns deadly

Martin County, FL (treasurecoast.com)- The Martin County Sheriff have reported that a large street gathering in Indiantown turned deadly.

This is what happened:

A Ft. Pierce man is dead, a second Ft. Pierce man is in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the face after gunfire erupts during a street gathering of three hundred people, turning the event into chaos.
The incident happened just before midnight Sunday on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Booker Park (Indiantown).
An initial investigation indicates that the two men exchanged gunfire for an unknown reason. The exchange left one man dead, and the other in serious condition. The gunfire prompted hundreds of people to run for fear of being hit by bullets. Unfortunately, three other people were struck. All three were self transported to area hospitals and treated for non-life threatening injuries. One of those bystanders is from Ft. Pierce, one is from Port St. Lucie and the third is from Indiantown.
Of the two men at the center of the shooting, one was airlifted to the hospital, the second was driven to the hospital by an unknown individual who left the victim at the receiving area without providing any information.
Martin County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have information about the dispute or witnessed the shooting to please come forward.
