Suspected murder-suicide in Jupiter
Police identify husband, wife found dead inside Jupiter apartment
Jupiter, Fl- On January 30, 2019 at approximately 5:10 P.M. members of the Jupiter Police Department responded to a call of multiple gunshots fired at an occupied vehicle in the area of Villas on the Green off U.S. Highway 1.
During the initial investigation, the Jupiter Police Department obtained information that the shooting suspect barricaded himself within his residence. After several hours of unsuccessful attempts to make contact with the suspect, the SWAT team entered the residence, at which time, located two deceased individuals.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Arthur F. Horlbeck (DOB 4/27/69) and his wife, Edana R. Chokey (DOB 9/26/61).
Based on the still on-going investigation, this initially appears to be a murder-suicide carried out by the originally reported shooting suspect (Horlbeck).
This is an active investigation and additional information will be released if it becomes available.
