Missing Juvenile Located and Safe

On Friday, August 11, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Jupiter Police Department Detectives reunited Dominic Caprio with his mother.

Dominic Caprio had been missing since  August 10th when he was abducted from his home in Jupiter. Dominic’s mother, Danielle Caprio, left the residence at approximately 12:24 p.m. on that date and when she returned an hour later, Dominic and his nanny, Blanca Castro, were gone. The Jupiter Police Department continued the investigation. They were assisted by the FDlE, the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Dominic was returned safely within twenty–four hours of the initial report. Jupiter Police Detectives, in conjunction with a private legal counsel mediator, were able to arrange his safe return. He was unharmed.

“Through the coordinated efforts of local, state, and federal agencies, along with our media partners, we were able to bring this case to a successful conclusion. Although the details surrounding this incident are still under investigation, I want to thank everyone for their assistance and cooperation,” said Chief Frank Kitzerow.

If anyone has further information regarding this case, please contact the Jupiter Police Department at (561)746-6201.
