Treasurecoast.com Food Review: Casey’s Place

Casey’s Place is a relaxed outdoor eatery known for their cheeseburger specials. They are located on Azalea Lane in Vero Beach.  I stopped in there after taking my dog “Dodger” to the dog park.

Casey’s Place is pet friendly, meaning you can bring your dog with you. Do not expect treats for your dog as nothing was offered to us.

I ordered the chili dog special with fries and an IPA Goose. If you like that type of food this is a great place to go. The outdoor ambiance is relaxing.  You will also see local familiar faces such as the Vero Beach High School Football coaches and players.

Just a nice carefree all American place to have your burger and fries. Their bottled beers, even though a small selection, has a range of selections including wine for your preferred palate.

The staff was friendly. It  looks like they hire local high school students to work the window, but I did see older people cooking in the kitchen.

The food came out quickly, and was hot. They also have grilled chicken sandwiches, and salads.  Also, for being near the beach it is reasonably priced. I ordered three different specials, the chili dog, deluxe cheeseburger and grilled chicken….. all were great! The chicken sandwich was moist, not over cooked or dry.  The deluxe cheeseburger was made perfectly to order with good quality meat.

Casey’s Place has been a staple within the community since 1981.  It was Opened by Vero Beach native Casey Steil who still runs the establishment. I do foresee continued longevity and hope this will be a business passed down for generations to come.
