CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
MARTIN COUNTY

Kanner Highway / State Road 76 from Lost River Road to south of Monterey Road
Traffic Impact:
The speed limit on Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Indian Street has been reduced from 50 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Martin County High School may be closed intermittently Monday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work and roadway widening.

One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Cove Road may be closed intermittently Sunday through Friday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge work.

The sidewalk along the east side of Kanner Highway just south of the high school will be intermittently impacted Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., with flagmen holding pedestrian traffic so construction vehicles can enter and exit the pond area.

The sidewalk along southbound Kanner Highway from Pomeroy Street to South River Drive may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the northbound sidewalk along Kanner Highway at Indian Street and Pomeroy Street.

Advance Notice: Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, May 19, southbound Kanner Highway between Pomeroy Street and South River Drive will be narrowed to one lane through 6 a.m. Monday, May 22 for drainage work. During this time, southbound traffic along Kanner Highway between Pomeroy Street and South River Drive will be diverted to the inside median using a temporary travel lane.

Advance Notice: The sidewalk along southbound Kanner Highway between Pomeroy Street and South River Drive will be closed from 12 p.m. Friday, May 19 through 5 p.m. Friday, May 26 for drainage work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the northbound sidewalk along Kanner Highway at Indian Street and Pomeroy Street.

I-95 Interchange at Kanner Highway (State Road 76 / Exit 101)

Traffic Impact:
One lane in each direction of Kanner Highway may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for road work.
One lane in each direction of Kanner Highway may be closed Sunday through Thursday nights between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. for roadway striping.

3.      State Road 710 / Warfield Boulevard from east of Kanner Highway (State Road 76) to the Martin / Palm Beach County Line

All lanes are open through Friday, May 12.
Advance Notice: Beginning the week of May 15, preparations will be underway for shifting State Road 710 traffic from two (2) lanes down to one (1) lane in both directions. The transitions will be located on both the north and south ends of the project and the speed limit on State Road 710 at these transition areas will be reduced from 60 MPH to 45 MPH. Details of each transition are as follows:
Traffic in both directions of State Road 710 just south of Kanner Highway will be narrowed to one lane in each direction, with southbound traffic diverted through the median to the existing inside northbound travel lane.
Traffic in both directions of State Road 710 just north of the Palm Beach County Line will be narrowed to one lane in each direction, with northbound traffic diverted through the median to the existing inside southbound travel lane.

4.      I-95 / Martin Highway (State Road 714) Interchange Landscape Improvements

Traffic Impact:
The shoulders at the I-95 / Martin Highway interchange may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through fall 2017.

NE Causeway Boulevard from Indian River Drive to State Road A1A in Jensen Beach

The right turn lane from westbound NE Causeway Boulevard to northbound Indian River Drive will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through October.
The sidewalk along the north side of NW Causeway Boulevard is closed for building construction through October. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the south side of the roadway.

U.S. 1 from SE Heritage Boulevard to SE Seabranch Boulevard in Hobe Sound
Traffic Impact:

One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through May 12 for construction of turning lanes.

U.S. 1 from Sunset Boulevard to Britt Road in Jensen Beach

Traffic Impact:
One northbound lane of U.S. 1 from Jensen Beach Boulevard to Sunset Boulevard will be closed Thursday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work.
One northbound lane of U.S. 1 from Jensen Beach Boulevard to Britt Road will be closed Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility work.

9.      Ernest Lyons Bridge from Sewall’s Point Road to MacArthur Boulevard in Stuart

Advance Notice: Ernest Lyons Bridge from Sewall’s Point Road to MacArthur Boulevard will undergo a full closure Friday, May 19 at 6 p.m. though Sunday, May 21 at 11 p.m. for the annual Stuart Sailfish Regatta. Motorists heading eastbound should detour via Sewall’s Point Road to Indian River Drive to Causeway Boulevard to A1A. Motorists heading westbound should detour via A1A to Causeway Blvd to Indian River Drive to Sewall’s Point Road.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY

State Road 70 / Okeechobee Road and Jenkins Road Intersection in Fort Pierce
Traffic Impact:

One lane in either direction of Okeechobee Road from I-95 to Kerr Street may be closed intermittently Sunday through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road work.
One lane in either direction of Jenkins Road to the north & south of the Okeechobee Road intersection may be closed intermittently Sunday through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road work. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
The sidewalk on the north side of Okeechobee Road from Peters Road to McNeil Road is closed through spring 2017. Pedestrians may cross at the signalized intersections at Peters Road & McNeil Road.
On Tuesday, May 9 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the traffic signals at the Okeechobee Road and Jenkins Road intersection will be transferred to a new signal cabinet. Law enforcement will be present to direct traffic. Motorists can expect minor delays.

Indrio Road Widening Project in Fort Pierce

Traffic Impact:

The speed limit on Indrio Road between I-95 and Emerson Avenue has been reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
One lane in either direction of Indrio Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Johnston Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Emerson Avenue may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
One lane in either direction of Spanish Lakes Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for construction. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.

I-95 Bridge Deck Replacement Project at Gatlin Boulevard and Midway Road

Traffic Impact:

The outside lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 at Gatlin Boulevard are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.

The outside lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 at Midway Road are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.

Traffic on Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 will be reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the north or south Sunday through Saturday nights between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for overhead bridge work.

One lane in each direction of Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 will be closed Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge work.

One lane in each direction of Midway Road at I-95 will be closed Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge work.

Midway Road Widening Project from S. 25th Street to U.S. 1

Cost/Completion: $26.8 million. Completion in spring 2020.

One lane in either direction of Midway Road from 25th Street to U.S. 1 may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.

One lane in either direction of Oleander Avenue from W. 1st Street to north of Midway Road will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.

One lane in either direction of Sunrise Boulevard from W. 1st Street to Augusta Street will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.

North 25th Street from St. Lucie Boulevard (County Road 608) to U.S. 1.

The outside lane in each direction of 25th Street from U.S. 1 to Industrial Avenue Three is closed around-the-clock through May.
One lane in each direction of 25th Street from Industrial Avenue Three to St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through May.
One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 at 25th Street may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through May.
The right turn lane from southbound U.S. 1 to 25th Street is closed around-the-clock through May for curb work. Motorists turning right onto 25th Street should use the outside through lane of U.S. 1.

U.S. 1 from Virginia Avenue to Ohio Avenue in Fort Pierce

One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through August 25 for median work and install mast arms.

Port St. Lucie Boulevard from Floresta Drive to Allen Street in Port St. Lucie
Traffic Impact:

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

I-95 (SR 9) from just north of State Road 60 (Osceola Boulevard/Exit 147) at Vero Beach.

Traffic Impact:
Motorists should be alert for slow moving construction vehicles entering and leaving the travel lanes.
The speed limit has been reduced to 60 mph in the work zone.
One lane in each direction of I-95 may be closed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for construction activities.
Southbound I-95 traffic from MM 156.5 to MM 155.8 is shifted to the new section of the CR-512 Bridge.
Northbound I-95 traffic is shifted to the southbound lanes from MM 154 to MM 154.8

Central Railroad Corridor Greenway (CRCG) Pedestrian Overpass

Traffic Impact:
All lanes are open through Friday, May 12.
