Stuart City Commissioners to discuss Sailfish Park today
Stuart, Fl– City Commissioners in Stuart are set to discuss the future of Sailfish Park today. The commission believes that the 7-acre youth baseball complex is the cornerstone of the city’s redevelopment plans, and is considering proposals from two different groups to turn the ballfields into a housing complex. One proposal would provide workforce housing, aimed at households making less than the areas median income. Another proposal calls for a mixture of high end apartments, townhomes, and office space. But neither proposal calls for replacing the ballfields used by generations of Stuart families. The meeting is set to begin this afternoon at Stuart City hall with a presentation by the developers at 3:30.
