Waveland Beach

The southernmost guarded beach in St. Lucie County, Waveland Beach marks the start of a 13.2-mile bike path that takes riders north along A1A to Blue Heron Boulevard south of Fort Pierce Beach.

Pepper Park Beachside

Named for the late U. S. Senator from Florida, Claude Pepper. This beach park is a popular location for snorkelers and divers. There are several shallow nearshore reefs located less than 100 yards off the beach. It’s also the site of the state’s first underwater archeological preserve, the Urca de Lima, which is located in about 20 feet of water. Rentals: pavilions.

Normandy Beach

Named for the WWII Normandy Invasion military training that took place in Fort Pierce in the 1940s, this one-acre beach spot features eight paved parking spots and a pavilion for beachgoers and fishermen.

John Brooks Park Beachside

This beach is named after noted local environmental activist John Brooks. 226-acres. Upland and wetland preserve features two miles of beachfront dunes and seashore fishing and has one wooden ramped dune-crossover with covered viewing area.
