St. Lucie County Aquarium Opens 7 Days a Week Starting in January

Ft Pierce, Fla – Starting Monday, Jan. 8, the St. Lucie County Aquarium will transition to its seasonal hours – opening seven days a week.

The St. Lucie County Aquarium, featuring the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit, will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon – 4 p.m. through the end of March.

However, during the holidays, the Aquarium will be closed Sunday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1.

Located at 420 Seaway Drive, the St. Lucie County Aquarium is a 5,000-square-foot public facility that operates in partnership between the Smithsonian Marine Station in Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County’s Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department. The Aquarium’s six exhibits and touch tank hold more than 8,000 gallons of marine life which accurately reflect the habitats typically found in the Indian River Lagoon and surrounding coastal waters.

Admission into the St. Lucie County Aquarium is $4 for adults, $3 seniors and children (ages 4-17). The first Tuesday of each month is free admission day. Group rates and memberships are available.
