Reckless Joyride ends in Martin County Jail

MCSO DEPUTIES ATTEMPTED TO STOP RECKLESS JOYRIDE IN STOLEN VEHICLE.

 

18-year old Antuan Love, and 18-year old Kahmari Long did their best to avoid Martin County Sheriff’s Deputies as the pair engaged in a reckless joyride in a stolen SUV.

The incident happened along 710 and MLK Boulevard Sunday. The SUV was traveling at excessive speeds, weaving in and out of traffic and crossing over into oncoming cars. The driver, Kahmari Long lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guard rail. The men were not injured.  As deputies approached the vehicle, the suspects were arguing about what, and what not to say to law enforcement.


The SUV was stolen out of West Palm Beach. Inside the vehicle was the owner’s wallet and credit cards.

Kahmari Long of Hobe Sound was charged with Grand Theft and Reckless Driving. The judge set his bond at $505,000. Antuan Love, of St. Petersburg was charged with Grand Theft, his bond was set at $300,000. The two remain at the Martin County Jail.
