Public input sought for Village Green Drive corridor revitalization plan

What:              The City of Port St. Lucie’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), in collaboration with the City’s Public Works Department and MARLIN Engineering, are creating a Master Plan for the revitalization of the Village Green Drive Corridor in eastern Port St. Lucie.
When:             Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 at 6 p.m.

Where:            The upcoming meeting will be held via ZOOM and you can register for the event by clicking this link. If using a mobile device, the free ZOOM application will be required to attend and can be found in the Android or Apple Store on your device.

Why:           The meeting will feature an interactive, virtual presentation on proposed design alternative concepts for the Village Green Drive corridor and participants will be able to provide comments, feedback and vote for preferred design elements. The project team will incorporate the participants’ preferred design choices into a final conceptual design of the corridor. The final design will be presented to the City Council in May 2021. To facilitate the interactive portion of the virtual meeting, questions and comments can be submitted via the ZOOM online Q&A tool and will be answered live. Questions or comments can also be submitted in advance of the meeting by email to JDavis@CityofPSL.com and will be incorporated into the meeting notes as well. A copy of the presentation will be available after the meeting on the City’s website at www.cityofpsl.com/villagegreen.

Village Green Drive runs from U.S. Highway 1 down to SE Tiffany Avenue. To date, the Project Team has canvassed businesses along Village Green Drive, conducted a Walking Audit with project partners, hosted a virtual Public Information Meeting on existing conditions, and met with stakeholders to gather information, ideas, and concerns. Additionally, the City distributed an online survey which garnered over 300 responses related to multi-modal improvements along Village Green Drive.
