PSLPD arrest a 14 year old juvenile for making threats, via social media, to shoot up his school
Port St Lucie, Fla- On Friday, February 16th, 2018, Police and Detectives began an investigation into a threat made by a 14 year old juvenile, Gregory Allen Deal, to shoot up his school after he was suspended for 10 days.
During the investigation, it was determined that Gregory Deal stated in his social media account on February 13th, 2018, “I’m suspended for ten days”, “& I might get expelled”, and “I hope I do so I can shoot up the School”. This statement concerned investigators greatly because Deal posted an earlier photo of himself holding what appeared to be a rifle.
Deal was taken into custody and eventually the alleged rifle was located and it was determined to be a bb-gun.
Deal was charged with violating F.S.S. 836.10. written threats to kill or do bodily injury. He transported to the Saint Lucie Regional Juvenile Detention Center without incident.
