 PSL woman killed in motorcycle crash, Ft Pierce man charged

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecast.com) -A Port St. Lucie woman was killed in a traffic crash Sunday morning. It happened just before 8am on Selvitz Road, approximately 700 ft north of St. James Boulevard. Investigators say 58-year-old Isabel Borges was traveling northbound on Selvitz Drive on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when a 4-door Honda Civic, driven by 22-year-old Christian Zachery White of Fort Pierce, attempted to pass a minivan in a non-passing zone. White collided head-on with the motorcycle. Borges was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. According to officials, White appeared “extremely” impaired. His passenger, whose name has not been released, was unconscious and unresponsive. They were both transported to a local hospital for treatment. White was charged with vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter, and possession of MDMA.
