PSL Police:  BEWARE of SCAM, “service workers” knocking on your door.

Port St. Lucie, Fl-Port St. Lucie Police are in search of two Residential Burglary Suspects. The burglaries occurred at 1600 block of SE Minorca Avenue, 6400 block of NW Taper Court and 600 block of SW Violet Avenue, Port St. Lucie, FL.

Police are actively investigating three burglary cases involving elderly victims. Two out of the three burglary cases provided similar suspect descriptions. The suspects used the same distinct patterns of operation on all cases. On April 29 at around 5:15 police were called out to the 1600 block of SE Minorca Avenue for reports of a residential burglary.  The victim (79-year-old woman) said she answered the knock at her door and met two male suspects identifying themselves as “private company workers” sent out to photograph “lot lines” of the empty lot(s) behind the victim’s home. These suspects posed as “service workers” to gain access into the home; one suspect distracted the victim, while the accomplice entered the home.

Suspect#1- Hispanic male, 55-65 years old, Height 5’06”, approximately 180 lbs., short dark hair, wearing a wide brim straw hat, a light green short sleeve button shirt and Khaki pants.

Suspect#2- Hispanic male, 35-40 years old, Height 5’08”, approximately 210 lbs., black hair (crew cut style), wearing a blue polo style shirt, khaki pants and wore sunglasses.

Vehicle description– White car with black trim (unknown make/model)
