Port St Lucie Police Traffic Homicide Investigators Respond to Early Morning Traffic Fatality

 

At approximately 2:30am on April 13, 2021 Port St Lucie Police responded to a single vehicle accident on the 9300 Blk of US Hwy 1.  The driver, Brandy Wells (1/17/93) was pronounced deceased on scene.

Port St. Lucie Police Traffic Homicide Investigators were notified and are investigating the accident. It is believed at this point; Wells was driving a Nissan Versa South on U.S. Hwy 1.  For unknown reasons, her vehicle struck the center median, then hit a street sign, and ultimately struck a tree straight-on.  St. Lucie County Fire District responded to the scene as well.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle and there are no known witnesses. It is currently unknown if she was under the influence of any substance.  Traffic Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation.  If there are any witnesses to the accident, we are asking people to contact the Port St Lucie Police Department (772) 871-5000.
