Port St Lucie Police recover 20-year-old stolen firearm after reported fight

 

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com) -On March 28, 2021 Port St Lucie Police Officers responded to the 600 Blk of SW Bridgeport Dr in reference to a fight.  Officers heard yelling from inside the residence and located blood on the floor upon entering.

Officers learned that the adult male victim, arrived at the residence to sell a piece of furniture for a relative, who was out of town.  The proposed buyer, an adult female, and the victim both walked into the residence.  The victim observed the suspect Erick Alfonso whom he knew, place his dog in the bedroom.  The victim and the buyer began looking at the furniture when Alfonso ran towards the victim and began attacking him.  During the fight, the victim alleged Alfonso, pointed a firearm at his head, and began striking him with the firearm multiple times.  The victim sustained injuries to the left side of his forehead.

The buyer/witness, observed Alfonso charge the victim, and began hitting the victim’s head.  She left the residence and called 911.

Port St Lucie Police Officers located a 357 Troper Cobalt firearm in the kitchen drawer.  After conducting a record’s check on the firearm, it was found to be reported stolen in Indian River County in 2000

Alfonso was taken to jail and charged with Possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, Aggravated Battery, and Grand Theft of Firearm.
