Port St. Lucie Police asking for public’s help in identifying serial business burglary smash and grab suspect.

Police believe that this is just the latest in a series of burglaries committed by the same suspect up and down the Treasure Coast

The latest smash and grab business burglary occurred on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 12:51 am, at the Chevron Gas Station located at 1924 SW Gatlin Boulevard.

Port St. Lucie went to the Chevron Gas Station after receiving alarm activation to the business.  After arriving on scene police discovered the front glass doors to the business had been smashed.  Further investigation revealed that the suspect had driven his grey or silver Buick Lesabre through the front glass doors, exit his car, and then jump the counter where the cash registers are located.  The suspect opened one of the cash registers taking the money then stole the other cash register, which was recovered outside the store.

Police believe that this is just the latest in a series of burglaries committed by the same suspect up and down the Treasure Coast.  The following is a list of reported burglaries:

·         February 18, 2016, front window smashed to China Town Restaurant, 3243 SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard, Port St. Lucie
·         February 28, 2016, front door window smashed to China Wok Restaurant,  7572 US Highway 1, St. Lucie County
·         February 28, 2016, front door window smashed to the Hospice Thrift Boutique, 890 SW St. Lucie West Boulevard, Port St. Lucie
·         February 29, 2016, front door window smashed to China Garden, 4836 North Kings Highway, Fort Pierce
·          March 11, 2016, smashed front door to the Tackle for Less, 401 SW Federal Highway, Stuart
·         March 11, 2016, front door smashed to the Canton House Restaurant, 2830 SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard, Port St. Lucie
·         March 11, 2016, front door window smashed to Flowers by Susan, 130 SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard, Port St. Lucie
·         March 12, 2016, front window smashed to Shears to You, 13260 US Highway 1, Sebastian
·         March 12, 2016, front window smashed to Salon Vie, 1145 US Highway 1, Vero Beach
·         March 12, 2016, front window smashed to Number 1 China, 738 South Fleming Street, Sebastian

The suspect is described as a white, approximately 6’2” tall, medium build, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and gloves.  The suspect is believed to be in a silver or grey Buick Lesabre.
