Port St Lucie man in serious condition after four vehicle /motorcycle crash

 

Port St Lucie, Fl-  On March 13, 2019 at around 5:09 pm, Port St. Lucie Police went to SW Tunis Avenue / SW

Port St Lucie Boulevard for reports of a traffic crash. Involved were four vehicles:

A  Chevy Silverado, Ford Explorer, Honda Sedan) and a Motorcycle (Kawasaki Ninja).

 

According to the preliminary investigation by the PSLPD the Motorcyclist (41-year-old PSL man) sustained serious injuries and is being transported to a nearby hospital. The motorcyclist was wearing a protective helmet at the time of the crash.

 

After investigating, officers learned the traffic was backed up at the intersection of SW PSL Boulevard and SW Tunis Avenue. Traffic started moving but slowed down. The motorcyclist rear-ended a pickup truck, causing the truck to crash into the vehicle in front of him, which crashed into another and so forth. All others involved did not sustain injuries.

 

Port St. Lucie Police Traffic Investigators are continuing the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Currently, charges/citations are pending the outcome of the investigation.
