Motorcyclist killed in collision in Port St. Lucie

Port St Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- On August 16, 2020 at around 11:54 pm, Police responded to SW Gatlin Boulevard for reports of a traffic crash involving a 2018 Ford Mustang and a 1998 Suzuki Motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation revealed the crash occurred on SW Gatlin Boulevard, just east of the Interstate 95 overpass in the westbound lane of travel that intersects with the Interstate northbound on ramp.

The twenty-year-old female driver of the 2018 Ford Mustang was attempting to turn left to enter the northbound I-95 entrance ramp when a 1998 Suzuki motorcycle collided into the passenger side of the Mustang. The thirty-five-year-old male operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on scene by St Lucie County Fire District/Rescue. The operator of the Ford Mustang was not injured.

This incident is actively being investigated by Port St Lucie Police Traffic Homicide Investigators.
