Coast Guard searching for missing Boaters from Stuart.
8:02 AM I just received an alert that a body was found near the House of Refuge in Stuart but it is unclear if this is related to the missing boaters.
The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for four missing boaters who were last seen in Stuart on Sunday Morning.
The wife of one of the boaters says they left Sandsprit Park around 8 a.m. in a 24-foot Sea Ray boat. She added that they usually fish near the Intracoastal Waterway in the Stuart area.
They were supposed to return Sunday at sunset, but she never heard from her husband or the other boaters.
Authorities began searching the area around 10 p.m. last night. Martin County, St. Lucie County, PBSO and Fish & Wildlife are working together and continuing the search efforts into Monday morning.
