Miami Trio arrested after attempted robbery at the Treasure Coast Mall
Jensen Beach, Fl (treasurecoast.com)-The Martin County Sheriff is reporting that a trio of young woman from Miami drove all the way up to the Jensen Beach Mall to rob and ended up getting caught and shoeless.
It’s a long ride from I-95 to the Mall so these young ladies must have been motivated. It’s 19 miles or 32 minutes.
This is what the Sheriff said:
FEMALE TRIO OUT OF MIAMI FIND THEMSELVES TAKING THE #WRONGEXIT, ONLY TO END UP EMPTY HANDED AND SHOELESS
The Monday blues struck this trio out of Miami after they were caught by Martin County Deputies yesterday afternoon following a robbery at the Treasure Coast Mall in Jensen Beach. Trellony L. Barr, Yosselyn M. Rodriguez and Maria De La Cardidad Mendoza decided that they wanted to “shop somewhere new” so they got off on the #wrongexit to do some shopping. Once they arrived at the Treasure Coast Mall, both Trellony and Maria went inside the mall, leaving Yosselyn in the vehicle.
While visiting the Royal Jeweler Kiosk, Trellony and Maria, snatched a necklace from an employee and attempted to run out of the mall. In an attempt to get away from the owner of the jewelry store, a small struggle ensued, and the owner was able to get the piece of jewelry back. Not only did Trellony leave the jewelry behind, she left her shoes behind as well as she ran through the parking lot to find Yosselyn who was waiting for the pair in the parking lot.
An alert citizen called 911 to notify the Sheriff’s Office giving a complete description of both females and the vehicle they left in. Alert Deputies located the White Hyundai Sante Fe traveling southbound on Kanner Highway from US1. A traffic stopped was conducted and the trio pulled over into the parking lot near Rancho Chico at Monterey Road and Kanner Highway.
The trio was taken into custody and booked into the Martin County Jail. Trellony L. Barr has been charged with Robbery by Sudden Snatching, Yosselyn M. Rodriguez has been charged with Driving on a Suspended License and Accessory and Maria De La Caridad Mendoza has been charged with Robbery and Grand Theft.
