Medical Marijuana Doctors caught in Catch 22.
Florida physicians who want to recommend medical marijuana for their patients are facing a Catch-22. Doctors cannot be certified by the state for medical cannabis until they complete a new training course. That course doesn’t exist yet. The law was just changed and the Florida Medical Association has yet to come up with the new 2-hour training program required for certification. Doctors can still take the old 8-hour course online. it doesn’t count under the new law. Florida has more than one thousand doctors who are already certified to recommend medical marijuana. Â New applications are on hold.
