MCSO rescues five ducklings.
It’s unknown what happened to mom, but her ducklings were having a tough time surviving in this large residential lake without her. Neighbors called MSCO Animal Services for help.
Supervisor Karen Kneubehl, Officers Kimberly Guile and Heather Belknap took to the water canoeing to the island hideout. They went shoulder deep in water to save as many ducklings as possible. Five of the ducklings were caught and taken to the Treasure Coast Wildlife Hospital.
