Massage therapist arrested for inappropriately touching female customers

Jensen Beach, Fl- A massage therapist has been arrested for inappropriately touching female customers. Martin County detectives are concerned that additional victims may exist.

A Jensen Beach massage therapist was arrested and charged with sexual battery. This was following complaints of inappropriate touching from two separate women who received massage therapy from the suspect.

50-year old Joseph Paul Correia III, of Port St. Lucie, was arrested on a warrant and charged with sexual battery following an investigation into both incidents. Correia was employed by the Pink Cottage Day Spa, located on NE Maple Avenue in Jensen Beach.

According to the arrest affidavit, two women complained that Correria touched them in an inappropriate manner not consistent with normal massage therapy practices. The first complaint was filed in April. A second woman complained of a similar incident involving Correria in July.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have had a similar experience with this therapist, to call Detective Ryan Pearlman at 220-7104, or 220-7060. Special Victim’s Unit detectives are very sensitive to a victim’s privacy. They will work to maintain their confidentiality in accordance to state law.
