Home invasion robbery on Jupiter Island being investigated

Martin County, Fla- A couple in their 60s were targeted on Saturday morning on Jupiter Island, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Two men believed to be in their early 20s broke into a home early Saturday. They stole jewelry, cash and electronics, the sheriff’s office said.

Martin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects who  broke into a home on Jupiter Island while the family was sleeping. Then, they held them at gunpoint as they stole thousands of dollars in property.

The family’s external home security cameras captured the two suspects as they entered and exited the home along Links Road around 4:00am this past Saturday morning. Once inside, the victims awakened to the masked suspects brandishing a gun and demanding money. They also demanded Rolex watches. The pair spent about a half-hour inside the home stealing jewelry. They stole cash and electronics, all while the couple was lying face down on the floor. The robbers then ordered the couple to wait 20-minutes before calling for help. The victims were shaken, but not injured.

The Jupiter Island Public Safety Police Department has asked the Martin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division to take the lead in the case. MCSO is asking anyone with information about these two suspects or this home invasion robbery, to call them.  MCSO is asking Jupiter Island residents who live  near Links Road to review their home’s exterior camera footage. This would be  early Friday night to Saturday morning. If you see something of concern on that footage, please contact them.
