Fleeing teen runs out of gas in Port St. Lucie

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com-Port St Lucie Police arrest 18-year-old who eluded police and then ran out of gas.
On October 1, 2020 Port St Lucie Police Officers observed an unregistered red/white dirt bike being driven on a public road. Police Officers attempted to pull over the driver, later identified as (Xavier Cheo Arvelo). Arvelo refused to pull over and fled the area.
For the safety of Arvelo and others, Police turned off their emergency lights. A few minutes later Arvelo was observed by Police near SW Darwin Blvd driving in between traffic. Arvelo saw police and popped a wheelie through a red light at SW Darwin Blvd/SW Tulip Blvd.
A few minutes later, Port St Lucie Police observed Arvelo pushing the dirt bike in a grass swale. Arvelo stated to police that he had ran out of gas and acknowledged seeing Police but didn’t stop.
Arvelo was arrested and taken to the St. Lucie County Jail. He was charged with Fleeing/Eluding Police, Reckless Driving, Operating a motorcycle without a license.
