Five Juveniles confronted in Ft Pierce. Guns found.
St Lucie County Deputies were called to the 3500 block of Avenue K on Feb 26. A caller described a group of suspicious males walking through the neighborhood.
When deputies arrived, they found five juvenile males and began speaking to them. The caller had stated the males might have guns. The deputies attempted to pat them down. During the pat down two fled on foot.
The other three remained. Deputies followed the two that fled. They observed one of them pull a silver object from his waistband and throw it into some bushes. Deputies searched the bushes. A handgun was located that was previously reported stolen.
A search of the detained individuals resulted in finding a handgun inside the shorts pocket of one of them.
All five males were identified as juveniles. Two were known gang members.
