Crash on US1 and Roseland leaves Motorcyclist in Critical Condition

A crash this morning (4/25/2018) at 2:50 a.m. has left a motorcyclist in critical condition.

Kathleen Hilsner of Sebastian was driving a Kia Soul.

Walter Sullivan, 53, of Huntberg, OH was driving his 2015 Harley (Trike). He was not wearing a helmut.

According to FHP, both drivers were traveling southbound on US1 in the outside lane. Hilsner was directly behind Sullivan. Sullivan was attempting to make a right turn onto Donna Lane that leads into a trailer home park. Hilsner failed to slow down in time and then collided with the rear of Sullivan’s Trike.

The trike overturned. Sullivan fell into the roadway. He was transported to Holmes Regional. He is in critical condition.

Hilsner went to  Sebastian River Medical center with minor injuries. Her passanger did not have an injuries.

Charges are pending. Investigation into both drivers as to alcohol being involved.
