Covid-19 Update July 6 2020 includes Ft Pierce Update

Florida reaches another coronavirus milestone: cases now total more than 200-thousand after another 10-thousand new cases were reported yesterday. There were 29 additional fatalities and the statewide death toll is now 3731.

The head of the FDA is holding back on saying if it’s safe for Republicans to hold their national convention in Jacksonville. On CNN’s State of the Union, Dr. Stephen Hahn said we’ll have to see what the virus situation looks like not only Florida, but around the country.

Coronavirus is hitting the Miami Marlins. Team President Michael Hill said that four of the team’s 60-man player pool came back positive for COVID-19.

The NHL and NHL Players’ Association have agreed on protocols to resume the season but are still negotiating an extension of the collective bargaining agreement.

That agreement would have the Stanley Cup Finals in October, joining the NBA finals at that time. The NFL also hopes to be playing it’s season.
