Community Meeting in Indian Harbour Beach on Coyotes

Meeting in Indian Harbour Beach on coyotes set for Feb. 11.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) met with officials from the city of Indian Harbour Beach and Satellite Beach to discuss partnering on an upcoming public meeting on coyotes. At that meeting, biologists will give a presentation and will be available to address questions and concerns from residents regarding coyotes.

The Feb. 11 meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Gleason Park Community Center, 1233 Yacht Club Blvd., Indian Harbour Beach.

Coyotes are found throughout Florida as part of a natural range expansion from western states. They are extremely adaptable and are found in rural, suburban and even urban areas around the state.
