Preliminary reports show that the City of Fort Pierce has fared exceptionally well in the wake of Hurricane Dorian. Our community has once again showed great resiliency in the face of uncertainty. We are Fort Pierce strong!

As Dorian journeys away from us, our thoughts turn to those most severely impacted.

Warnings/Watches

All warnings and watches for our area have been lifted as of 6:00 AM yesterday.

Bridges

North and South Bridges are open to the public.

City Facilities

We are looking forward to welcoming the public back to City Hall and City facilities on Thursday, September 5.

Indian Hills Golf Course

Staff will be cleaning up debris today, followed by a complete mow of the course. Indian Hills will reopen to the public tomorrow, September 5 with normal business hours.

Fort Pierce City Marina

Fort Pierce City Marina fared extremely well and will reopen to the public on Thursday, September 5.

Public Works

Public Works crews were out out yesterday cleaning storm debris from city streets, right of ways, pedestrian accesses, parks and city facilities.

Solid Waste

Trash collection will resume normal service on Thursday, September 5. Normal household garbage and recycling collection will take place on the resident’s next scheduled day. Residents with yard waste and storm debris should separate material in two piles along the right of way, not in the road.

Jetty Park

Jetty Park did not sustain major damage and is open to the public.

Parking Garage

The city’s downtown parking garage is still at capacity; however, the garage is open for residents to remove their vehicles.

Power Outages

Fort Pierce Utilities Authority: At this moment, there are no reported power outages. If you experience an outage, please contact FPUA at 772-466-1600. Use the outage map at the following link to check your address and the status of an outage: www.fpua.com
On Wednesday, September 4, as FPUA works to resume normal operations, customers can contact FPUA Customer Service at 772-466-1600.

Florida Power & Light: According to the FPL Power Tracker, there are 11 FPL customers in St. Lucie County currently without power. To report an outage, visit: https://www.fpl.com/my-account/web-outage.html

USPS

Effective September 4, 2019, all post offices in the following 3-digit ZIP Codes are expected to resume normal operations: 334, 338, 339 and 349.

Schools

St. Lucie Public Schools and Indian River State College are expected to reopen on Thursday, September 5.
