Brightline: Upcoming Road Closure Expected for North Causeway in April

Brightline will be installing tracks and associated safety improvements at the North Causeway FEC crossing beginning in April.

This roadway will be closed to all thru traffic at the railroad crossing in two phases:

• Phase 1 will have this crossing closed from Monday, April 18th, at 6 a.m. to Thursday, April 21st, at 5 p.m.
• Phase 2 will have this crossing closed from Monday, April 25th, at 6 a.m. to Thursday, April 28th, at 5 p.m.
Brightline will be putting up message boards along the routes next week (4 weeks in advance) to begin to notify everyone as much as possible.
These closures will be in place in order for the railroad crossing to be reconstructed for Brightline. During this time, motorists heading east on N. Causeway will detour north on US-1, east on 20th Street, north on Indian River Boulevard, east on SR 60 over the Merrill P. Bridge & then south on SR A1A. Motorists heading west on N. Motorists in the area should follow directional signage to access properties affected by this closure. Please see the attached detour map.
