Brevard: Sheriff’s Office Investigates Pedestrian Fatality

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a pedestrian was reported being struck by a train in Port St. John.
Shortly after 9 P.M., October 17, 2016, the Sheriff’s Office was called to the area of U.S. 1 and Fay Boulevard in Port St. John. A Florida East Coast Railroad worker reported a male was laying on the tracks near the intersection as the two mile long train came through. The train conductor located a body near Elkham Boulevard.
The victim was identified as 36-year-old Raymond East of Port St. John.
