Attempted Homicide in Vero Beach

Vero Beach Police officers responded to The Grove Bar in reference to shots fired. This was at 1:52 on March 31st. The officers then determined  a disturbance occurred inside the bar. This subsequently lead to an altercation and a shooting outside of the establishment. Stephan Andrew Capak, the victim, was located on scene. He was then transported to a local area hospital for treatment. He remains at the time of this release.

Vero Beach Police detectives have interviewed and are continuing to interview all possible involved parties, witnesses, and bar patrons. No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.  We urge anyone with any information on this incident to call the Vero Beach Police Department Detective Division. The phone number is (772) 978-4660.
