A teenager has been arrested for carjacking a UPS truck in Fort Pierce.

On December 29th the UPS truck was taken from the corner of Avenue R and 29th Street. It was found a few minutes later on North 32nd street.

Several unidentified people were seen running from the truck with packages in their hands when officers arrived.

Yesterday, the St Lucie County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 16-year old in connection to the case.

Sheriff Mascara said that fingerprints collected at the scene helped lead them to the teenager.

Authorities are looking to charge the teenager as an adult.

One other suspect is still at large.
