Martin County U.S.A. was created in 1925 with the northern portion coming from St. Lucie County and southern portion coming from Palm Beach County. It was named for John W. Martin who was the Governor of Florida from 1925 to 1929.
It is located on Florida’s East Coast and makes up part of the beautiful Treasure Coast of Florida. This county is a real gem. It has that old Florida feel and boasts gorgeous natural landscapes from lakes, rivers, oceans and everything in between. It is comprised of Jensen Beach, Ocean Breeze Park, North River Shores, Stuart, Palm City, Rio, Indiantown, South Hutchinson Island, Sewall’s Point, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound and Jupiter Island.
