Investigators found a fraudulent gofundme account in connection with the search for a missing paddleboarder from Stuart.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says do not donate to the account, which has already received $250 in pledges.
63-year old William Morlock hasn’t been seen since Friday. Investigators think he went paddleboarding at the beach and never returned.
Deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office found Morlock’s car parked at Normandy Beach and his paddleboard 6-miles out from the shore.
The Coast Guard and the aerial unit from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office are searching for any signs of Morlock.
