A woman from Fort Pierce is accused of choking a police officer with her undergarment.
The incident happened Sunday night at Lawnwood Hospital.
A police officer went to the hospital to help fellow officers find a room in the behavioral health section for the suspect so officers could get a medical clearance. The officer said the woman, identified as 21-year-old Angel Muttlea, stood behind him and threw an undergarment over his head.
The officer turned around to face Muttlea and she let go. Police said Muttlea continued to resist arrest as officers tried to put her in handcuffs. Police added that she scooped up a rubber glove from the ground and ate it. Muttlea is facing charges of aggravated battery on an officer and resisting arrest without violence.
