31-year old Steven Williams, the man sentenced to prison for the murder of his former wife Tricia Todd, was transferred from the Martin County Jail to the Central Florida Reception Center near Orlando. From there, state officials will determine what prison Williams will spend the next 35-years.

Central Florida Reception Center opened in August of 1988 originally as Orange Correctional Institution. Orange C.I. was opened as a close custody, adult male, program oriented institution. Before OCI was fully functional, the mission was changed to a reception center, and thus the new name of Central Florida Reception Center. CFRC houses male inmates. Kissimmee Community Release Center (Male) and Orlando Community Release Center (Female) are managed by CFRC. Bridges of Orlando, Bridges of Cocoa, Orlando Transition Center and The Transition House of Kissimmee are also under the supervision of CFRC.
