Wildly Popular Film Festival Back In Jupiter for a Fourth Year!

Wildly Popular Film Festival Back In Jupiter for a Fourth Year!

Jupiter, FL:   Something truly wild and amazing is coming back this April! The waterfront Wild & Scenic Film Festival returns to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum on April 14, 2018, from 5:00 PM- 9:30 PM.

Grab your beach chairs and join us for one of our country’s best environmental and adventure film festivals being hosted in our own backyard. These international short films are sure to get your adrenaline pumping, heart thumping, eyes popping and jaws dropping! Soul-stirring stories and grand sweeping vistas give us a sense of place and what it means to be responsible stewards of the earth. They illustrate not only the challenges facing our planet but the work communities are doing to protect the environment and the places we love. They capture the magnetic draw of nature, epic adventures and the emotional kaleidoscope of the human spirit.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is proud to join over 170 communities around the globe to increase a groundswell of environmental awareness and support through this festival.

This year we’re celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act. The Wild & Scenic Rivers are only .35% of the 3.6 million miles of streams in the United States. The Loxahatchee River is one of only two rivers to be designated as Wild & Scenic in the state of Florida and we’re shining a light on this important designation that protects 7.6 miles of it.

Fifteen short films will be shown outdoors at the Lighthouse on the “big screen.” Attendees should bring beach or lawn chairs and outdoor wear. Film buffs can enjoy the live rockin’ music of the StratOlites.

Wine & beer, assorted beverages and tasty snacks from Whole Foods Market and a variety of delicious burritos from Burrito Bros Jupiter will be available for purchase. Outside food & drinks and pets not permitted.

We will once again be joined by local community organizations who will share with you how you can get involved in loving and caring for our earth and enjoy outdoor recreation.

Tickets are $10 per person and available online now. Due to the limited availability of tickets, we recommend early ticket purchase, tickets are non-refundable https://www.jupiterlighthouse.org/special-events-tickets/wild-scenic-film-festival/ .
