Volunteers Needed for 6th Annual Molly’s House Polo Classic

Okeechobee, FL – Calling all volunteers! Molly’s House is in need of 40+ volunteers to help at the 6th Annual Molly’s House Polo Classic on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Port Mayaca Polo Club, located at 12499 SW Conners Hwy, Okeechobee.

The annual fundraiser brought to you again this year by Presenting Sponsor, The Herold-Cadorette Family, features international polo players, a dressage presentation, VIP party, best hat contest, car show (weather dependent) and the traditional halftime champagne divot stomp.  The day will also include several trophy presentations.  Proceeds support the mission of Molly’s House to keep families together by providing short-term, affordable accommodations for the families of hospitalized loved ones and hospital outpatients.

Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up and clean-up, front gate check-in and ticket sales, directing traffic, VIP tent and volunteer pavilion management, selling 50/50 raffle tickets and drawing tickets, handing out champagne at half-time, distributing pre-sold lunch boxes to Reserved Fieldside Admission ticket holders, unloading the truck at Molly’s House after the event, and more duties as needed.

Lite breakfast items, snacks, lunch, volunteer shirt, and breaks provided.  Volunteers need to be on site by 9 a.m. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. and the program runs from Noon to 4 p.m.  Cleanup will directly follow the end of the event.

Register to volunteer at http://www.mollyshouse.org/polo-volunteer-sign-up/.  Volunteers are required to attend one of two Volunteer Orientations.  Volunteer Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, March 3 at 2 p.m. at Molly’s House at 430 SE Osceola Street, Stuart and 5 p.m. at Stuart Coffee Co., located at 55 SW Flagler Ave, Stuart.  Volunteer shirts will be distributed at both orientations. Event tickets are now on sale at www.MollysHouse.org.  Tickets range in price from $50 to $800.  Molly’s House is running a special for Valentine’s Day so you can treat your sweetie to a day of polo in March!  The VIP Ticket Valentine’s Day Special for $200 includes two VIP tickets, one bottle of wine and a box of chocolates in addition to beer, wine, champagne, and a delicious paella lunch under a private tent including seating with an exceptional view of the day’s activities.  The Valentine’s Day Special expires on February 14, 2016.
