Vero Beaches record season has ended

by Mike Thomas WSTU

Vero Beach’s record season, has ended. The Fighting Indians suffered their lone loss of the year, falling to Deerfield Beach 35-7 in the Regional Final. Vero’s lone score came in the first quarter, a 25-yard pass from quarterback Ryan Jankowski to running back Jaden Meizinger. Both players are seniors, in what would be their last games at the high school level. Deerfield Beach wins the regional championship in back-to-back seasons, and advance to the state final four. Vero ends their season 11-1. Their record regular season winning streak is still alive though, and will continue into next year.
