Vero Beach, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- The Vero Beach Police have reported that a  suspect has been arrested after a shooting that left  two people injured.

This is what happened:

At approximately 4:00 A.M , Officers responded to the parking garage of the PARC 24 Bldg located at 445 24th Street in reference to a shooting.
Once on scene, Officers found 2 people shot.
The male and female victims advised Officers that they were exiting the parking garage. Both were in separate vehicles, when a white male suspect exited the stairwell and started shooting into their vehicles. Both victims were struck by the bullets. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
Both victims were transported to Lawnwood Hospital in Ft. Pierce with non- life threatening injuries.
Detectives were able to retrieve video surveillance from the parking garage and was able to identify a suspect immediately.

Based on the quick identity of the suspect, the Vero Beach Police Department Critical Response Team was activated and responded to the suspects residence. One of our police negotiators made contact with the suspect via telephone. After about 15 minutes of phone conversation, the suspect exited his residence and was taken into custody without incident. Several blocks were blocked off during the arrest, but are now back open.

The suspect was transported to the Vero Beach Police Department where he is currently being interviewed. Suspect was later identified as:
W/M Aaron Paul Bishop 61yoa and he lives in the 500blk of Royal Palm Blvd.
Charges are pending. There is no other known threat to the community.
