VBPD bust two with multiple drugs
Vero Beach, FLa- On 03/14/18 detectives with the Special Investigations Unit were in the area of 800 block of 19th St. to serve a search warrant on the residence of William Lenard Watson. While conducting surveillance on the residence the detectives noticed Watson drive up to the residence. The detectives were aware Watson did not possess a valid driver’s license. They made contact with Watson while he was still inside his vehicle.
While approaching the detectives observed a female passenger. She was later identified as, Jessica Dollins. She dropped a glass pipe between her legs and onto the floorboard. Watson placed a clear plastic bag in the center console.
Upon a search of the vehicle the following items were located: a clear/crystal rock substance field testing positive for methamphetamine, a pill bottle containing .5mg Alprazolam, a brown crystal/rock substance field testing positive for MDMA, a white rock substance field testing positive for cocaine, and a partially smoked cigar containing cannabis. In the bag that detectives observed Watson place in the center console a brown crystal/rock substance field testing positive for MDMA was found. A glass pipe was also located on the passenger floorboard.
Watson and Dollins were both placed under arrest. Dollins was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released with a notice to appear. Watson was charged with: Possession of Cocaine, Possession of MDMA, Possession of Alprazolam without a prescription, Possession of methamphetamine, Possession less than 20 g Cannabis, and driving while license suspended with knowledge. Watson is currently being held in the Indian River County Jail with an $11,500 bond.
