Vandals shoot multiple businesses.

VANDALS WITH HIGH POWERED PELLET GUN SHOT AT WINDOWS AND DOORS AT EIGHT BUSINESSES. THIS IS  CAUSED THOUSANDS IN DAMAGE.  DETECTIVES ARE SEARCHING  FOR SUSPECT.

Detectives with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating five more cases of vandalism to government buildings and local businesses, bringing the total to eight. The vandals are shooting out windows. They are damaging structures with what appears to be a high powered pellet gun.

Detectives were called out to Palm City Dentistry, a Verizon store, and Martin County High School to investigate shattered windows. Upon further investigation, it appears that those windows were hit with pellets from a high powered pellet gun. Two other businesses report having windows shattered out as well. Detectives are working to confirm if a pellet caused the damage.

Representatives from the Martin County Supervisor of Elections Office, the Martin County Courthouse, and the Veterans Services building reported that their facilities had also been shot at. Services at the Supervisor of Elections Office were temporarily interrupted while workers replaced the shattered glass on the front door. The incidents are taking place either late at night, or early in the morning before the businesses open. There are no reported injuries, however, the damage estimates are quickly approaching the $10,000 range.

If you have any information about these vandalisms, please call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 220-7060.
