TWO SUSPECTS END UP IN THE HOT SEAT INSTEAD OF PURCHASING A CHILD CAR SEAT
On Tuesday, December 14, at 3 am, Stuart Police received a call from Walmart Loss Prevention reporting a theft in progress.
Tramaya Hill and Ciera Scott (both of Broward County) decided to do some shopping in the early morning hours. The two selected a child car seat and took the seat out of the box. They proceeded to refill the empty box with 3,228.00 worth of electronics. According to Loss Prevention personnel and video surveillance footage, the pair were not using the box to simply carry the items, as they only paid for the value of the child car seat.
Tramaya Hill was arrested and charged with felony retail theft. Ciera Scott was charged with felony retail theft and possession of inventory control device countermeasure.
At this time, it is unknown if the two have been added to Santa’s naughty list or not.
