Two good Samaritans rescue driver from lake in Port St Lucie

Port St. Lucie, Fl (treasurecoast.com)- Port St. Lucie Police credit two good Samaritans with rescuing a driver who lost control of her Honda Civic and ended up in a lake.

It happened just before 11 a.m. Monday near SE Lennard Drive and SE Mariposa Avenue.

The driver lost control of the car, hit two traffic signs and a light pole prior to the car ending up inside the nearby lake. The civilians that saw the accident, jumped into the water and rescued the driver.

Two northbound lanes shut down on SE Lennard Road /SE Mariposa Avenue.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

The PSLPD thanks those brave civilians who immediately jumped into the water to rescue the driver!
