Martin County,  Fl (TreasureCoast.com) – The Martin County Sheriff have reported  that the Truck Driver involved in Hit  & Run of a Bicyclist has been identified and arrested.

This is what happened:

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office would like to commend all of the citizens who called in tips about a truck that hit a bicyclist in Palm City then fled the scene leaving the cyclist with severe injuries. Following up on your tips, our Hit and Run task force Deputy Eric Day located the box truck in question parked in the area of Ranchwood Street in Palm City.
Upon inspection, Deputy Day identified damage to the passenger side mirror which was consistent with that of the collision. Information about the driver and passengers was also confirmed. Over the weekend, 62-year old Thomas Cornman was taken into custody and charged with felony hit and run with injury and operating on a suspended driver’s license with knowledge (3rd or subsequent offence).
